Don't like sleeping on the ground?  Well we're happy to recommend some hotels that we never stay at!

Check out Hotel Shattuck which is a unique, slightly upscale hotel right in downtown Berkeley. Within blocks are restaurants, bars, microbreweries, Bart, the #67 bus up to Tilden.

Don't like sleeping on the ground, or spending too much? Wow you're really picky. That's okay, we got you covered: Super 8 is about as affordable as it gets in b-town. It's in a good neighborhood, walking distance to North Berkeley Bart, and has really good user reviews on yelp/hotels.com. You might not get a mint on your pillow, but it'll do the trick.

There are a few other good options along University Ave too.

Don't like hippies? You'll be safe out in the 'burbs at the Walnut Creek Mariott. Apparently there will be Conovers there, if you're into that sort of thing.
